That sure does look fun, packed house also, we don't have that event in our area either.

The Mitsubishi scene has dropped of around here since I had my 90 Talon TSI about 2005. Not to many custom Mitsubishi based builds in my area. The coolest Mitsubishi project in my area is a guy stuffing a TT 3000gt motor into a Mitsubishi Truck.

Also tuning with ecmlink is about wrapped up on mine. I could only squeeze out 18 psi on FIC High Z 775cc injectors at 85% idc , 16 deg timing and 1.5 deg knock last weekend. So I ordered and received some FIC High Z 1050 SP injectors since my goal is 22-25 psi on the TD06H-20g, tuning again this Friday/Saturday. The nice thing is I start creating boost at 3k rpms and full boost by 3.6k rpms on the 2.4 block.

Just about every oval track in New England does this type of racing. I know of at least 3 such races within an hour of me. This track is definitely the most popular (mainy because it is only 15 min from downtown Providence :). That is why there are so many people there.

Assuming I get turbo situation squared away, I will be in Norwalk.

So, I am still struggling with falling fuel pressure :( . Everything was just fine until. I got into 11’s my fuel pressure starting falling from ~60-61psi at 25psi of boost to ~56psi. To bring you up to speed, this is what I have done:

Rewired the fuel pump
Changed the FPR
Installed a HUGE aftermarket fuel filter
Replaced 255HP with another, new 255HP and then with Aeromotive 340 pump.
Upgraded the return line
Upgraded the line from hardline (where stock filter was located) to fuel rail.

NONE of this made any difference! My next step is to upgrade the fuel line from the fuel pump assembly to the filter. I doubt that it will help, the fuel line is the same diameter as the 2G fuel line, but I am out of options… If that doesn’t help, I will get upgrade the fuel pump housing (does anyone have one of those for the van?)

I had heard about pumps running into issues with overrunning the relief valve. Have you looked into that phenomenon? Pressure and not flow related in that sense.

That could be happending at 70-80 psi, but not at 60 psi. And not with the 340 pump.

Hey Leon,
Assuming the pump is in the tank, it sounds like a issue between the pump and filter. If the pickup in the tank was small (pipe size) and as you added fuel there has to be a point where the pipe size can't support the pressure/volume and from there you would loose pressure. Did this start as you increased P/W on the injectors? You changed everything but the 1st part of the fuel set up so I would think the issue has to be there.

Hope to see our Summits on the track this summer!!
Mark

Here is another random thing to try. Check your battery voltage during the pressure drop. I have seen a Failing alternator cause drop voltage at higher rpm, that subsequently caused loss of fuel pressure.
