Want to drop the gas tank replace your fuel pump or clean the sludge from your tank. This article is for you. You will need the following tools Rachet 8mm socket 10mm socket 14mm socket Vice grips 17mm Flair Wrench (Line Wrench) Trolley Jack Step 1 Jack the car and put it on jack stands. Step 2 Disconnect the fuel filler and over flow lines (10 mm clamp) And one of those weird clamp you take of with vice grips Step 3 Lift the jack to meet the tank. Step 4 Undo the 4 x 14mm holding the tank on the car... Step 5 Lower the jack. Step 6 Detach the fuel pump power connection, Gauge connection Step 7 Detach the 2 fuel lines using the flair wrench one 17mm one taken off with their vice grips Step 8 Take out the tap do on the top of the tank and remove the fuel pump bracket. 8 mm Setp 9 For reassembly reverse removal procedure... |
