Everytime ive ordered thru Jegs (and ive seen Summits status) they seem to not stock them and they take a week or two to ship. I got the transmission mount with 13-501 in and will post pics in the next few days, my friend is repainting the mount. Im also going to have the same problem as a few post up, the old metal thingy in the middle is longer than 13-501's metal thing in the middle. Just going to cut the old one and use that extra part as a spacer.

Why couldnt you just use the original metal spacer from the stock rubber mount?

If i do that, i have to trim all the rubber and that would probably be a big PITA. I guess the easiest way would be a torch?

OK so my Urethane mounts came in today. 3 of the 13-501 and 1 of the 13-506.

For the timing belt mount, everything went as planned.....BUT, I noticed the metal bushing that goes thru the center appeared to be too short. After a quick search thru my extra parts / junk, I discovered that by sliding the bushing all the way to one side (So its flush with the outer part of the urethane) and adding 3 washers from factory headstuds works perfect. The headstud washers couldnt fit any better, they're the exact same size as the metal Prothane bushing. For this mount, I used a 13-501

For the rear engine mount, I had a little bit of a hard time getting the factory rubber and metal piece out. Eventually after breaking out the torch, I got it. The urethane slid in and fits nice and firm. This was a 13-
506

Ill keep everyone updated as Im hoping to get the trans mount and front mount done tomorrow. I was really planning on getting pics but I ended up going down my garage unexpectedly and didnt have time to go back home for the camera.

OK, So I did the front engine mount tonight. Another 13-501. Getting the metal/rubber bushing out went decently well. When installing the urethane, I had to cut both sides down a little. I did this by using a hacksaw. If you are holding the mount in your hand, you'll notice there are 3 or 4 ribs on the part that goes iniside the metal mount. I carefully followed along the line and cut the first piece off on each of the 2 sides. I than had to obviously cut down the center bushing which was also done with a hacksaw and ground smooth with a bench grinder. The only problem I had ran into was that once the urethane was in the mount that goes on the subframe, It was difficult to fit between the mount that goes on the engine. So I simply opened it up a little with an adjustable wrench. (My motor is out of the car, it would probably be very hard to do this while the motor was in)

Once again, I failed to get pics cuz the camera is dead and I didnt feel like going to get batteries.

One mount left and I already have it planned out how its going to go. I already took the metal/rubber bushing out of the stock trans mount, just waiting to sandblast it to make it all pretty with some fresh paint.

next up, stock 1.5 rear mount! Just gotta find one thats prothane

See how the metal bushing is too short? Use the OE Mitsubishi washers from some headstuds. Its a perfect fit. Instead of using 2 washers on one side, and 1 on the other, I just used 3 on one side.
